Today I took Max to buy his first pair of shoes! There is a Startrite factory just up the road that has a shop which sells seconds (ie end of line shoes) for real cheap. So we turned up and Max had his little feet properly measured. First the length and then the width - ah, a problem - Max's feet width was off the scale! To be honest I wasn't completely surprised, Max is a little chunk! So, to get him a pair of shoes that fitted properly we had to go up a half size! When the assistant went out back to find shoes in his size I was half expecting her to come back without any because of Max's chubby feet, but she came back with one little pair, and thankfully I loved them! We finally managed to get them on his feet (he kept curling his feet up!) and they looked and fitted great! He has been trying them out for size today. He is a little confused as to why he can't walk quite as good as before and he has been staring at his feet a lot, but I think they are going to be perfect when he gets used to them and will save his socks from getting all worn out and dirty! Here are some pics of our little experience together today! (I can't quite believe how excited I have been about these shoes - I really need to get out more!)

Those shoes are adorable! He is one cute tot! :o)
I can remember my kids curling their feet up like that. Those shoes are so cute - you completely lucked out! I've downloaded the one of him in his car seat for my desktop. I love the way he's looking up. Miss you x
