Cloth nappies

I made the decision early in my pregnancy that I would use cloth nappies on Max (my eco-conscience won't allow me to send thousands of nappies to landfill). Anyway, he is still a little small for the cloth nappies at the moment so I have been using tiny little disposables temporarily until he beefs up a little.

Well, tonight, following an almighty explosion from his bottom, Ben and I decided to give the washables their first outing - and here are the results! How hilarious - the one of him in his sleepsuit makes him look like an umpa-lumpa from the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! The nappies will certainly take some getting used to!

"Mummy, don't make me wear this!"

Umpa-lumpa doopa dee doo!

Congratulations! I've recently become a father myself - well, late December - and my wife and I are totally besotted wih the baby and each other. We're sticking to disposable nappies for the moment, but there's nothing quite as much fun as changing one is there? Glad you're enjoying it.

Very funny! They look cozy though. I really like that second picture where he has his eyes wide open. He looks very alert.
