Up North!

This weekend we took Max to visit his Northern relatives. Was a good day all in all - Max travelled OK, but it was tough on him. He was, as usual, a real trooper.

Great Nan Foster - she fell in love with Max - but is not too happy about being a GREAT Nan - we decided that just 'Nan' would be fine!

Two gingers together - is this a scary insight into what 25 year old Max will look like? Please No! Uncle Simon is great and I am sure they will have a special ginger bond!

Auntie Sarah - she was feeling a little worse for wear after a night of partying!

What a handsome man!

The day was finished off in perfect style with a nice relaxing bath back at Grandma Shirley's - he looks very happy to be out of that car seat after the long journey.

Hanging out with Baby Harrison

Max has a new cousin - Harrison was born on 16th June at 2am weighing a very healthy 9lb. Today we went to visit Harrison and his older brother Cameron and managed to get a little photo shoot in. They all look very cute, and I am sure that as they all get older they will have lots of mischievous fun together! Harrison seemed very tiny, but of course Max was a much smaller than him when he was born - its scary how you forget things! It was only a few months ago! Thing is, they change so quickly - I am loving the way Max is changing, but today made me realise that I must cherish each day, because each day can be so different!

Nigh on impossible to get a 2 week old, a 12 week old and a 2 year old to look at you all at the same time!

Cameron is so funny, and loves the camera!

I accidentally sat on Camerons bear comforter whilst round there today - he cried his eyes out! How lush is Max??!!

On holiday with the Asps!

Having just got back from visiting my sister and her family in Ohio, I now have some time to reflect on how Max got on on his first long haul flight and his first holiday, and he was such a star! Some people told me I was crazy for taking a 2 month old to America, but I am so glad we did - I had such a wonderful time as I always do when I visit my sister, but this time it was extra special as I was introducing my baby to her. Its hard being away from her, but especially hard when she cannot be there to experience big milestones in my life. Whilst she will not see Max too often, I know that taking Max over to visit her and her family made both of us extremely happy and started off many relationships that I know will endure despite the distance. Here are a few snapshots of Max on his first holiday!

Leia loves Max so much - she was so upset when she had to say goodbye - it was hard.

Max chillin with the boys on the sofa

He was always the centre of attention

He hated the Ohio heat - here he is rather hot and bothered

Posing with Dad at Columbus zoo - I believe they are next to the Manatee tank

How I love my little boy!

Taking it easy on the plane before take-off on our way home. Shortly after this he fell asleep for the entire flight - what a trooper!
